As soon as it’s safe to travel again, these are the places that are on my radar. Hotels that are a destination in itself and worth a visit. Here are some of the ones that are on top of my list.
I was sold on Ett Hem once I found out the name stands for “At home” in Swedish. Not your typical hotel, this is more like staying at a really posh friend’s home where they allow guests to feel at home. I love the intimacy of the hotel and as I’ve always embraced the Hygge life, Scandinavia is always a region I’ve wanted to visit.
For those who’ve been lucky to have experienced Nihi Sumba, only have good things to say about this remote Indonesian island. Voted as the world’s best hotel by Travel + Leisure two years in a row, people rave about the private retreat immersed in nature. Also known as surfer’s paradise, non-surfers are welcome and can enjoy a plethora of activities. such as swimming with the horses.
As much as I’ve traveled internationally, I realized there’s so much to discover within my own backyard. Located in Jackson Hole, Caldera House has stunning views of the mountain and can easily ski in and out. This would be the ideal buyout for you and your closest friends.
Heckfield place, is like a scene out of Bridgerton. There’s just something about the English countryside that is utterly charming. The interiors are beautiful but the surrounding grounds and lakes makes it an idyllic getaway. Can’t wait to try their food as most of their fruits and vegetables are all grown in their own gardens.
And as if there weren’t already enough hotels in Paris, there is much anticipation for the opening of Cheval Blanc Paris by LVMH. Mind you, there are so many recent gems that’s been added to the scene like Hôtel de Crillon, Hôtel Lutetia and JK Place Paris. Just steps from the Louvre, this hotel will definitely become a destination in itself.
